HMS prides itself on accurately assessing issues and directing individuals to the right resources.

Individuals who receive short term counseling reduce their visits for medical care by 75%.  HMS provides short term counseling through a network of counselors that have a minimum of a Master's degree in the Human Services field and maintain their licensure and certifications through continuing education.  This, coupled with specialized training and HMS' wide network of resource, ensures that situations are accurately evaluated and addressed.

When a timely response from the right individual or treatment program is not available, problems often become serious or stay serious.  HMS counselors are trained to accurately identify the source of an individual's problem and, as quickly as possible, find a practical solution.  While HMS encourages all individuals to meet face to face with counselors, HMS does provide consultations over the telephone.  Our mandate is to ensure that employees have access to counseling when they need it, no matter the location.
